National Geographic/Trails Illustrated Massanutten & Great North Mtn: George Washington National Forest, Virginia / West Virginia, USA Excellent detailed topographic map printed on two sides, features the Lee Ranger District and the North River Ranger District of this National Forest straddling the border of Virginia and West Virginia. The west side of the region is on one side of the map, and features the forest lands and private lands north of the town of Harrisonburg. It also shows Lost River State Park, West Virginia. On the reverse, is the east side, which is slightly more northerly than the coverage on the west side. This side includes the forest lands around the towns of Wardensville, Strasburg, Woodstock, Mount Jackson, and Luray. Also shows Virginia's Raymond R. "Andy" Guest Jr. Shenandoah River State Park, and portions of Shenandoah National Park.The maps show trails (distinguished by user groups), roads (including local roads through private land in the neighborhood), information centers, campgrounds, backcountry shelters, restrooms, picnic areas, boat launches, swimming areas, fishing, parking areas, and much more. The topographic contour lines are enhanced with shaded relief; woodlands are indicated with a green tint, private lands within the National Forest are tinted tan. The UTM grid is included for the benefit of GPS users.
Charts included rate dozens of trails, and keys them to the map. Text gives basic information on the area and its activities, including safety tips, rules of the trail, and contact addresses and phone numbers.

Forest Service Monongahela National Forest, West Virginia recreation map Official Forest Service map printed on two sides shows the north half of the region on one side, the south half on the reverse. The map clearly distinguishes private lands within the official boundaries from public property, and shows roads, trails, peaks, watercourses, campgrounds, picnic areas, isolated buildings, pipelines, and more.
