Includes a pictorial key which, with simple line drawings, shows characteristic flower shapes of families and/or genera, and lists the flower colors to be found in each of these groups. The text is separate from the photo section, and gives common and scientific names, plus a brief description with just enough details to distinguish the plant. The plants illustrated in the photo section are arranged by family, and the captions include common and scientific names. In general, the photos are well-chosen, often giving you some indication of the leaf structure and form of the plant, in addition it essential floral details. A glossary of botanical terms is included, in addition to an index.
