Detailed road and reference map printed on two sides.  On one side is the western part of the region, including all of European Russia, as far east as Krasnoyarsk.  Color tints vividly depict major elevation levels.  Shows hundreds of cities and towns. Primary and secondary roads are charted, plus railways, ferries, airports, canals, and more.  A sizeable inset map of about 12 x 10 inches shows the major streets and attractions of central Moscow.

On the reverse side is the eastern side of the country, with similar detail.  Both sides are fully indexed.  A number of color photos included give a sample of some of the sites.

Scale, 1:6,000,000 (1 inch = about 95 miles).  Size: about 27 x 39 inches.  Folded.  Paper.

Cartographia Russia, political map
Reference map, printed on two sides, showing all of Russia (and, in fact, all of the independent nations of the former Soviet Union), on one side.  This is not a road map; it shows only a few "tourist roads" and is not detailed enough to be a reliable motoring guide map.  But the map does show cities and towns, regional boundaries, waterways, and canals.  (See sample at right.)  An inset shows time zones.  Symbols are explained in English, German, French, and Hungarian.  The reverse side is given to a comprehensive index of place names.
