Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  A solid green tint shows the extent of woodlands, green dots show brushy areas.  Shows lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, washes, springs, and wells.  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (but only US and state highways are numbered).  Shows major power lines, mine shafts, mines and quarries, and gravel pits; landing strips, railways, corrals and more.  (See sample below).

Towns and communities marked on the map include Crystal, Arrowhead, Glendale, Logandale, Virgin, Glassand, Overton, Mead Lake, Riverside, Bunkerville, and Mesquite.  The northern portion of Moapa River Indian Reservation is depicted; likewise the northernmost portion of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and northern Valley of Fire State Park.  Major highways through the area are US 93, Interstate 15, state 168, state 169, and state 170.  Clark County, Nevada claims the largest portion of the map, followed by Lincoln County; the inch-and-a-half strip that comprises the Arizona coverage is all within Mohave County.

Important physical features shown include Las Vegas Range, Coyote Spring Valley, Arrow Canyon Range, Moapa Valley, Meadow Valley Mountains, Bunker Hills, Meadow Valley Wash, Mormon Mountains, North Muddy Mountains, Mormon Mesa, northern parts of Lake Mead, Virgin River and Valley, East Mormon Mountains, Toquop Wash, Flat Top Mesa, and Virgin Mountains.
