Nogales 100K
Nogales, Arizona-Sonora 1:100,000 scale topo map

BLM Nogales, Arizona (Surface Management Status), metric topographic map
Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  The northern third of the map is in Arizona, the southern two-thirds in Sonora.  Color tints on the US side show surface management status, i.e. the managing government agencies of public lands:  National Forests are in green, BLM lands in yellow, military reservations in pink, state lands in blue, National Memorials in purple; private lands are untinted.  Shows rivers, creeks, washes, springs, wells, lakes, and tanks (stock ponds).  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (federal and state highways are numbered).  Shows mine shafts, mines and quarries, and gravel pits; campgrounds, other recreaton sites, and more.  (See sample below.)
About a quarter of the Mexican side of the border, in the southwest corner, is blank, without data.  Since the detail on the rest of it is a half-size reduction of Mexican government 1:50,000-scale quadrangles, the print is finer and more difficult to read.

Cities, towns, and communities marked on the map include Rio Rico, Beyerville, Nogales, Kino Springs, Buenavista, Trench Camp, Miguel Hidalgo, Santa Cruz, Bledsoe, Nicksville, Jose Maria Marelos, Miracle Valley, Ignacio Zaragoza, El Riecito, and Emiliano Zapata.  Other places shown include all or parts of Patagonia Lake State Park, Coronado National Forest, Fort Huachuca Military Reservation, Miller Peak Wilderness, Coronado National Memorial, and San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area.

Major physical features shown include Patagonia Lake, Santa Cruz River, Patagonia Mountains, Sierra San Antonio, San Rafael Valley, Canelo Hills, Sierrita el Alamo, Sierra el Chivato, Huachuca Mountains, Sierra Mariquita, San Pedro River, Mule Mountains, Sierra San Jose, and El Sauz.

Scale, 1:100,000 (1 inch = about 1.6 miles).  Contour interval = 50 meters in USA, 10 or 20 meters in Mexico.  Size: about 43 x 27 inches.  Folded.  Paper.
