New Mexico Highway Geologic Map
Published in cooperation with New Mexico Bureau of Mines & Mineral Resources, printed on two sides.  Half of one side is dominated by the colorful geologic map, which also shows highways and towns.  On the other half of the same side are four cross-sections of the state.  There are also seven columnar sections from regions throughout New Mexico.  Accompanying all is a fairly long article on interpreting the geologic map.

On the reverse side is a satellite photomap of the state, presented in false colors which, in typical Landsat imagery, presents areas covered by growing plants in red, with other colors showing additional features as interpreted in the extensive caption.  The second half of the reverse shows five additional state maps at small scale: a tectonic map emphasizing faults, caldrons, and intrusions; a physiographic map which is a shaded relief map showing geologic/geographic provinces and sections;  roads covered by a series of guidebooks published by the New Mexico Geological Society; a fourth map displaying the locations of parks, monuments, and particular geologic features; and a small diagrammatic quick mileage index to roads.  These maps are all accompanied by explanatory text.

Map is printed on water-proof, tear-resistant plastic.
