USGS State of Montana Shaded Relief Wall Map
Detailed topographic map of the state, printed on one side only, features shaded relief to give the mountains and hills the illusion of three dimensions. Flatter areas are given a green tint. No elevation contours are included, however, numerous mountain peaks with elevations in feet are marked. Shows rivers, creeks, lakes, and other bodies of water. Shows cities, towns, and smaller communities; railways; county boundaries and names, plus major land lines. Lines of latitude and longitude are provided at one degree intervals.
The sample above shows the full map. At right is a sample of a portion of the upper side of the map. No details of bordering areas outside the state are shown.This map does not show any highways or other roads. The print for most place names is very small.
Scale, 1:1,000,000 (1 inch = about 16 miles). No contours. Size: about 40½ inches wide x 25 inches high. Rolled. Paper.
