The quads are referenced with GPS grids. Charts give information on public lands, campgrounds, wildlife viewing, fishing, and skiing. Six pages are specially devoted to Glacier National Park, with information on campgrounds, natural features, fishing, hiking, and four pages of more detailed maps on the park. Other pages in the Gazetteer highlight unique natural features, hiking, Indian lands, and historic sites and museums. There is also a comprehensive index which helps you locate the place names in the atlas.

Rand McNally Montana Wyoming State Map
Standard good quality Rand McNally with roads and towns clearly depicted (see sample at right). The map of both states is on one side. Shows National Parks and Forests, Indian Reservations, campgrounds, rest areas, and more. In addition, there is an index to counties, cities, and towns; a mileage chart; and a list of airports.On the reverse side is travel information for each state. This includes seven city detail maps which show the primary streets of Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Missoula, Casper, and Cheyenne. Two other small maps show details of Waterton-Glacier Int'l Peace Park; and Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks. There are also two charts showing the amenties of each state park system. There are also descriptions of points of interest. A small schematic chart shows a mileage and driving times map extending down through from Calgary, Alberta to Tucson, Arizona.

GTR Topographic Recreational Map of Eastern Montana
Detailed travel map printed on two sides showing more than 100 recreation sites, with 100 points of interest listed. The map is on one side, showing the eastern part of the state from Havre, Lewistown, and Harlowton eastward. Includes interstates with exit numbers, highways and secondary roads, color shaded topography, campgrounds, rest areas, ski areas, lakes, National Forests and Wilderness Areas, and much more. The topography is shown by means of contours at 1000 foot intervals, and this is enhanced by color tints to emphasize the elevations. This color tinting in combination with the tints used for showing parks and forests can make things look a little busy, but despite that drawback, the publication packs a lot of information in a small area. An index helps you locate the cities, towns, and other places on the map, with populations listed.The reverse side is packed with information in the form of tables and lists on national parks, wildlife refuges, state parks, state fishing access sites, ski areas, mountain ranges, wilderness areas, recreation sites, points of interest, and more.
