The map of Austria is shown on one side, with generous areas of adjacent nations also detailed—almost all of Bavaria in Germany, for example, and much of alpine Italy. The mountains and hills are clearly distinguished by means of color tints and shaded relief. As with other well-made maps, all classes of roads are indicated, with distances between points on major and secondary roads given in kilometers. Also shown are railways, mountain railways, ferries, campgrounds, castles, ruins, and other points of interest. The reverse side is given to an index of place names on the map.
