Ordering Wall Maps

Wall maps are almost always shipped rolled, and packed in tubes.  Since few other things I sell can be packed in those same tubes, they must be shipped separately, and a separate shipping fee must be collected.

The online PayPal shopping cart is unable to collect separate fees for different classes of merchandise.   If your order consists of one or more wall maps plus items other than rolled wall maps, please order the wall maps on a completely separate transaction.  If you don't, your order will be delayed until you pay for the extra shipping by separate invoice.

Exception: A few wall maps are available folded, and this is stated in their description.  These can be sent along with anything else you order (except rolled wall maps).

In some cases, I can fit certain slim items in the same tube as the wall map (such as hand lenses or some smaller maps; or small wall maps along with large raised relief maps).  If so, I will refund part of the extra shipping fees you incur by ordering separately.

If ordering more than one wall map (same or different titles), but no other kind of item, normal rates for wall maps apply.  Typically, I roll them together in one bundle, or more than one bundle if need be.

If mailing a check, you can calculate shipping fees by reference to the shipping tables linked to the How to Order page.  If you think that an item you want ought to fit into the same tube as a rolled map, please obtain a shipping quote from me by email so I can confirm that.

Ordering $200.00 or more of merchandise?  If so, disregard this page.  Your total shipping fee will be the maximum for your region even if your order requires multiple packages.

Want to have wall maps shipped out of the country?  I ship wall maps to US addresses only, and other items to US and selected international addresses only.  You will need to find a different supplier, so my shipping rates do not apply.  I usually can make an exception on smaller wall maps, those with the shortest dimension less than 20 inches.

I realize that the shipping fees you pay for ordering wall maps separately from other items may discourage you from purchasing single copies of many of my large, but lower priced wall maps, however, these fees are close to my actual costs.  As it takes extra time to carefully pack rolled maps so they are not damaged in transit, there is little enough profit margin as it is.  This is probably why many online dealers charge a lot more for the same wall maps I stock.
