The most impressive relief of the Lone Star State is in the far west, but the natural colors on this map show the character of flatter parts as well. Cities and towns are clearly labelled, state and national highways also shown.
Scale: about 1:2,851,200 (one inch = about 45 miles). Size: about 22 x 21 inches.

 Hubbard Scientific Texas Raven-style raised relief map
The gradual progression in altitude as you journey northwest away from the coastline is clearly shown on this striking map, as is the network of streams and rivers. Also shows cities and towns (with the smallest omitted) and major and minor roads (only the interstates are numbered). Close inspection will reveal detailed coverage of many of the smallest creeks. Look still closer and you will see cryptic blue squiggles next to these same creeks. These squiggles prove to be their names in very fine print, which you need a magnifier to read! The original base map by Raven Maps & Images was obviously a larger scale.
