National Geographic United States Political Wall Maps

National Geographic political wall maps come in three different styles and two main sizes. Classic, Executive, and Decorator are the styles, and the 43 x 30 inch size is standard with an enlarged version (about 70 x 49 inches) available for each style. In addition, each of these are available in laminated or standard paper versions. To top all that, National Geographic has just introduced the Mural size for the Classic style, a map set that covers the wall, being about 9 feet wide by 6 feet high! So on this page alone, you have 13 maps to choose from! But the choices are easier to make than you might think, for the amount of detail on each map, even the big ones, is identical. It really comes down to your color preference, the amount of space you have available, and your budget.

This is a huge version which will command attention on any wall. State boundaries are accented with color tints, shaded relief shows the form of the mountains. 	National Geographic United States Classic Mural Wall Map A new addition to National Geographic Maps' line of US wall maps, this map is basically identical to the preceding four Classic versions, but is enlarged even more, to cover a wall. When mounted, it measures over nine feet wide by over six feet tall. The map has no more detail than the smaller sizes, it is simply a much enlarged version so the print and all of the features are shown much larger, making it easier to read from a distance. It comes as a three-piece set, each strip can be applied like wallpaper. Instructions included, but adhesive and tools not provided. Scale, probably around 1:1,788,000 (1 inch = about 28 miles).
